Welenken truly believes that their team needs a balanced life, and one way they recognize that balance is by offering flexible work schedules. When my children were small, I was able to work part-time. Now that I’m full-time again, I have the option to work from home.

Sarah has been involved in several community organizations, including NAWBO Kentucky, where she served on the Symposium Committee and the board of directors, and currently serves as the President of the Board; the Chamber of St. Matthews, where she served as Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary; 4C (Community Coordinated Child Care), where she served as Treasurer; Holy Trinity Parish School PTA, currently serving as Treasurer, and she loves to volunteer her time to various community organizations. Sarah was voted 2019 Member of the Year by NAWBO Kentucky and 2010 New Member of the Year by the Chamber of St. Matthews.

This is the true joy in life, the being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.

I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community, and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.

I want to be thoroughly used up when I die, for the harder I work the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake. Life is no “brief candle” for me. It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations.
